101/365 - (6/26?2009) - Chuck E. Cheese's

We took Rachel to Chuck E. Cheese's. It was kind of fun to watch her play games and win tickets. She loves to take the tickets to the front and trade them in for all the trinkets. We had a blast.

100/365 - (6/25/2009) 100 degrees

Again not a great picture. But I thought this would be a great 100th picture. Only in Texas is it 100 degrees before 12:00.

99/365 - (6/24/2009) - Nana

Nana came into town and sold some hair bows. We had lunch at Dairyland. Then Rachel had to show off her new bed. Nana had to get under the covers to get the whole experience. They were back in the room and read books for about 30 minuets. She loves her Nana!!!

98/365 - (6/23/2009) - Wrod find

Today Rachel and I had a treasure hunt and we made this word find with a scrabble game. The Words are: Cooper, Rachel, Jackie, Lance and Daisy.

97/365 - (6/22/2009) - Summer Fest Prizes

As I said before the Carnival is expensive these days. I got this drink for $5 and this Sponge Bob for $4.75. Oh well the price you pay for your kids. Sponge Bob has slept in the her bed almost everyday.

96/365 - (6/21/2009) - Possum Kingdom Lake

If you know me this picture may surprise you. I am not a big fan of the lake, but we went to she LaLa and Uncle Brent's new lake house and Uncle Brent took us out on the boat. Rachel loved it and even jumped into the water a few times. She really enjoyed watching Uncle Brent Wake Board.

95/365 - (6/20/2009) - New Bed

Poppy came over this morning and brought Rachel's new bed. We put it together, but there is a bolt missing and there is a scuff on a shelf. We are going to get those pieces replaced. She is also getting a dresser to match. Poppy couldn't fit it into the Suburban, so she will get it next time. Rachel is now officially in a big girl bed.

94/365 - (6/19/2009) Sumer Fest

Not a great picture. I talked Rachel into going to Summer Fest, to ride carnival rides. She rode the train, cars, and the Ferris Wheel twice. And let me tell you something, the Carnival ain't as cheap as it use to be. It was good to get out, I think she got her mind off her throat, but she was very tired when we got home.

93/365 - (6/18/2009) - Bolt

I got Rachel out of the house today and we went to Wal-Mart. She found a Bolt book. She started feeling bad in Wal-Mart. I wanted to get her some new Popsicles, but all she wanted was this book.

92/365 - (6/17/2009) - Silly

Rachel was being silly. She was showing off her blue tongue after drinking Kool-aid. That is about all she drank today.

90/365 - (6/16/2009) - Big Girl

I know it doesn't seem like it but Rachel is feeling bad today. She is very whiney. She says her throat hurts. She refuses to take her medicine, we have to give it to her by force. She is now in a big girl seat. She was very excited.

89/365 - (6/15/2009) - Jalapenos!

Well I haven't been out to the garden lately, but Rachel and I picked 32 jalapenos and I have many others that will need to be picked next week. I don't know what to do with all of these!!!

88/365 - (6/14/2009) - Rachel recovering

Rachel is in pain, and doesn't feel good. She never complains about being hurt and she is hurting. She has been eating Popsicles, but says it is hard to swallow. She has been fighting us on taking her medicine. She feels better if she takes it. I feel really bad for her.

87/365 - (6/13/2009) Dave Campbell's

It is amazing to me how many people have never heard of this magazine. It comes out once a year and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I understand if some big city people have never heard of it, but I am talking about small town folks, where football is king. This magazine lists every school from 6-man to super 5A. Talks about each team, gives the official rankings for each division, and then predicts how each district will finish. It also has good articles on the big 12. Gracing the front cover is Colt McCoy, University of Texas QB. Texas has a great chance to win it all this year, GO LONGHORNS!!!!

86/365 - (6/12/2009) - Surgery

Here is Rachel before her tonsillectomy. We talking with the doctor and she was coloring. It was hard because she was more aware this this time. Everything came out good. Just a stressful day for me.

85/365 - (6/11/2009)- Swimming

Rachel went to 2 lessons today. She is swimming so good. At the end of the lesson they let Rachel's group go down the slide. Rachel went down it over and over until we had to go home. She got her certificate and she is recommended that she go to level II next year. I am so proud of her and how well she did.

84/365 - (6/10/2009) Swimming cancelled

On our way to swim lessons (in Graham 20 miles away), we got a phone call saying swim lessons are cancelled, due to lightening. I was happy to get a call. Rachel has to attend so many classes and she can't go on Friday because of her surgery. Rachel is going to go to 2 classes tomorrow. The rain came in hard and rained about 2 inches with 70 mile an hour wind.

83/365 - (6/9/2009) clean

Today I focused on cleaning the house. I cleaned my bedroom and bathroom. After that I went to 7-on-7. 7-on-7 is basically touch football. The quarterback has 4 seconds to throw the ball and when the receiver is touched the play is over. Jacksboro's varsity is doing good and we are dominating the league. Our QB is being recruited by TCU, OSU, SMU, OU, and other small colleges in Texas. I think he is leaning towards TCU.

82/365 - (6/8/2009) - Brownies

Rachel and I made brownies today.

81/365 - (6/7/2009) -

Rachel went swimming today and Jackie said she had to slow her down because she was jumping off the side and swimming under water from the step. She is going to be a fish. After our bath Rachel sang Crazy Train by Ozzy.

80/365 - (6/6/2009) - garden

Rachel and I played outside before church. We sprayed Daisy with the water hose and picked these jalapenos out of the garden.

79/365 - (6/5/2009) - Oakleys

My Oakleys finally came in. My last pair flew out of the bus after a football game (yeah I was real happy). I forgot how good they are. It is a lot better than Wal-mart specials. I have been waiting on these for about a month. I am so happy.

78/365 - (6/4/2009) - Looking for tomatoes

Jackie took this picture of Rachel looking for tomatoes. We found a couple of red ones and picked some green ones that have been on the vine a while. I read if the tomato plant made tomatoes early and it has a bunch of green ones, you need to pick some greens ones off. Rachel helped me with the project.

77/365 - (6/3/2009) - Gymnastics

Rachel had gymnastics today, yeah she is a busy girl, she did so much better than last year. If you were wondering she locked her arms out. Then she had friends over and they rode the Escalade down the street. Then she had swim lessons and she learned to go up the ladder. She also swam the furthest under water in her group.

76/365 - (6/2/2009) - Squash

Look what Rachel and I found in our garden. I already cut one up and ate it. Rachel's swimming lessons went great. She didn't cry and was trying to cut in line to go under water. what a difference a day has made. Jackie and I were so proud of her.

75/365 - (6/1/2009) - Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons; I didn't know she was going to rush everyone in it. Rachel did good and learned a lot.
