Its for the Birds (3/23/2010)

Jackie heard some commotion outside and when she opened the back door a flock of birds flew off. Ok, so they ran out of food a day ago. They found my bird seed on the back porch and ripped the bag open and went to town.

Lesson: Don't forget to feed the birds or they will remind you themselves

Here it is with the roof. I haven't attached the swing arm yet it is propped up there. I must say this turned out better than I thought. Notice the roof.

Lesson: It takes a lot longer than you think to paint a swing set and trying to get a 4 year old to help is kind of a lost cause.

I'm back - 3/18/2010

Well Lets see a lot has happened since last year.

Let me number a few:

1. New Daughter

2. New Nephew

3. Moved into New Football Stadium (turf with jumbo-tron)

4. Made football playoffs

5. 8th grade won Football District Championship

6. Went to Las Vegas

7. Purchased I-Phone

8. Record Snowfall

9. Won our first trackmeet

10. Mother-In-Law moved here from Port Aransas

11. And I have a new lease on life. Everyone use to make me mad over the stupidest things that were completely none of my business and out of my control. I have learned that life is to short. I can only control my life and it is not worth getting aggrivated over silly stuff. With that said I am going to make an effort to do my blog. I want this to be like a 365, but if I miss a day because of games or track meets, I miss a day. Last year I stopped doing it because We went on Vacation and when we got back I was so far behind.....

I am a Coach and Teacher at a small Texas town of about 5000 people. And yes #3 said turf field and jumbo tron with a 2 stroy press box. Texas Football!!!!!

Here is What I was up to today >>>

Well the last coouple of days have been between 60 and 70 degrees. (By the Way - It is suppose to snow here on Saturday) I got a smoker for Christmas so I broke it in today Baby back Ribs 200 degrees for 5 hours - Awsome!!!

I got my oldest daughter a used Swing Set. First of all Swing sets like this are running about $1500. Little Carzy. So this one was given to me for free if I come and get it. Here is the main tower. I am going to fix it. Stand by for the finished product.

115/365 - (7/11/2009) - Beat the Heat

I needed to water the grass late yesterday and Rachel enjoyed running through it. It was still very hot at 7:00 and Rachel enjoyed running through it.

114/365 - (7/10/2009) - Bounce House

Yesterday Jackie, Misty, Lyndsey, Kayley, and Rachel went to a bounce place. Rachel came back very tired. They played, jumped, ran, slid, and climbed for hours.

113/365 - (7/8/2009) - Tubing

What I failed to mention in the previous post is that I look like a lobster. I couldn't do anything today because I hurt like crazy. Here is another lake post from yesterday. Rachel loved to tube and her favorite part was jumping waves.

112/365 - (7/7/2009) - Daisy Swim

We went to Brent and Lauren's lake house at Possum Kingdom Lake. We took Daisy and she liked to swim. It was very funny because Daisy can't swim very good. She was trying to fetch and beat a Labrador. The Labrador swam circles around Daisy. We went out on the boat and made a whole day of it.
